This course includes practical, interactive exercises and online resources. The prerequisite for this class requires completion of the self-assessment & having completed the Level 1 Electricity (Basic) Online Course - Part 1 to determine the technician’s level of electrical knowledge.
Course length
Level 1 Electricity (Basic) –Part 2 - 7 hours of practical hands-on training
Learn and master the basic concepts of electricity and the different EV systems.

This course includes practical, interactive exercises and online resources. Prerequisite for this class requires completion of the self-assessment and online part 1 to determine the technician’s level of electrical knowledge.
Course length
Level 2 Electricity (Intermediate) Hands-on – 14 hours
Upon completion, technicians will understand proper, safe tool selection for testing and service of electric/electronic components. Technicians will read and understand electrical diagrams and learn about communication networks. Formulating and executing diagnostic/testing methodology for faulty systems is explored.

Level 3 Hybrid and Electric Vehicles 1 (HEV 1) – 21 hours
Technicians will develop an understanding of various makes and models on the market, their components, main-disconnect and power-down procedures, while learning and following safe work procedures.

Level 4 Hybrid and Electric Vehicles 2 (HEV 2) – 28 hours
Perform maintenance on hybrid and electric vehicles, diagnose isolation faults, repair a high-voltage battery, and become familiar with high-voltage tools and diagnostics.
